If you were given the choice of writing two papers for grades or those same two papers PLUS a five page final paper on pastoral care and knowing that you have a B+ on the first paper -- would you take the final? I choose not!!
We were commenting today that it seems to be the year for papers, only one class has exams - the others all have papers of some sort: book reports, reflection on seminars, essay answers, etc. It's been a weird kind of year as I've noted on facebook 'I am' comments.
Overall, I think this is a good year. Some don't feel they're learning much, but every little bit helps especially if you can weave it all together for personal growth that sees fruit in how you pastor. (Have to remember that for one of my papers!! it's a good statement)
Gotta get some work done, I think I am going to the last day of the VBS I've been helping with.
